This finely-crafted glass is a reproduction of a mid-18th century Jacobite Dram Glass, made in Scotland by Glencairn Crystal - Lead Free Crystal. In the aftermath of the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion, followers of the outlawed Stuart cause met in secret to honour the defeated Prince Charles Edward Stuart, and toasts were drunk to the loyalty of the Jacobite supporters, which is legendary.
Comes in presentation carton with The Jacobite Story on the box. Despite a price of 30,000 on his head - a king's ransom in 1746 - none were tempted to betray the Prince during his flight to safety in France.
